Community Health Network has been
in ministry since 1985. She is an
ordained minister in the American
Baptist Churches of the USA, a pastoral
counselor and a licensed professional
clinical counselor with a private
practice at AltCare Health Center
in Oak Park. Her commitment to pastoral
care and the formation of local
congregations as healing communities
led her from Kansas to Chicago to
complete her M.Div at McCormick
Theological Seminary. She helped
build and directed a congregationally
based pastoral counseling center
with nine sites in the Chicago metro
area. Now, she is responsible for
helping congregations bridge the
caregiving gap for people with AIDS
and other stigmatized health conditions.
She has served on the boards of
Urban Clinical Pastoral Education
Consortium, Limina, as a member
of the Executive Committee of the
HIV/AIDS Service Providers Council
and as a Deacon at Hyde Park Union
Church where she is a member.
