Bill and Lyn Roche Authors and columnists, Lyn and Bill Roche, helped care for two parents with Alzheimer’s disease. Lyn was also the primary caregiver for her grandmother who lived to be 95. Elder Books published Lyn’s first book, Coping With Caring: Daily Reflections for Alzheimer’s Caregivers in 1996. A new revised edition, Coping With Caring: When Someone You Love Has Alzheimer’s or a Related Condition was published by Journey Publications in 2006. The couple co-authored Sharing The Care: When Someone You Love Resides in an Adult Care Facility in 2004.
Lyn and Bill live in Central Florida where Lyn writes a popular column for The Tampa Tribune called The Caregiver’s Caregiver™. Lyn and Bill also write a weekly column, Boomers & Beyond, for Highlands Today in Sebring, FL. Through their writing and their many informative, fun, and interactive workshops and seminars it’s obvious Lyn and Bill love life and they love people. One of their main objectives is to uplift others. They never fail to refresh caregivers, give them hope, and inspire them to take as good care of themselves as they do the loved ones in their care. Their Christian Caregiver Connection™ program offers both practical and spiritual ways faith communities can continue being meaningfully and supportively connected to individuals experiencing the stressful challenges and effects of Alzheimer’s and similar conditions – whether they be caregivers or care receivers.
